I ran with these ideas and created a 24”x36” poster describing the event details, and then I carried the concept into an animated slide for a social media story. Overall, I am very pleased with the execution of my concept. The symbols and message are easily recognizable. I’m confident that these pieces will inspire the audience to attend this Christmas Eve service.
Christmas Eve
The theme for this Christmas Eve Services promotion is O Holy Night, Luke 2:8-15, with the title being “Hope for the Blessedly Broken.” I was heavily inspired by stained glass cathedrals and sought to create the illusion of stained glass. The stained glass serves as a symbol for something that is broken but becomes something beautiful and divine. Stars play a key role in the design to symbolize the holy night and Star of Bethlehem. Since this service is part of the larger “Songs of a Savior” Advent sermon series, I felt it was important to incorporate instruments into the composition.
